Adair Park Today, organizers of the annual Porches and Pies festival, has opened the call for bakers to compete in the 2022 bake-off. The bake-off is open to pastry chefs and home cooks presenting sweet and savory pies. Presented by MET Atlanta, the festival is planned for Saturday, September 24 from 12 to 5 p.m.
Entry fees start at $10 and both home bakers and professional pastry chefs can visit www.porchesandpies.com for details and to enter. The bake-off is returning following a two-year hiatus during the pandemic. The last bake-off in 2019 featured 44 sweet and savory pies from bakers across the metro Atlanta area. In addition to sampling entries in the bake-off, attendees can purchase mini pies from past Porches and Pies winners. The family-friendly event also offers an artist market, locally crafted beverages, and free kids activities.
